Description
Feathery Mare's Tail (Hippuris species)
Height: Grows 2-24” tall
Hardiness zone: 2-6
Bloom time: June - August
Habit: Has stems cladded with whorls of linear, blue-green foliage. Some are submerged while some are massed in an upright habit above the water's surface. Flowers are buff green and are found one in each upper leaf axil. One stamen protrudes in red from the cylindrical female pod.
