Pond Salt Grade

Water X Scapes offers two grades of pond salt; coarse and fine. Fine grade pond salt is a high-quality, non-iodized & additive free, granulated salt derived from evaporated sea salt.  Coarse grade pond salt is white & opaque, additive-free, pure salt crystals derived from salt water evaporation. 

How do I add salt to my pond?

Adding salt to your pond is quite simple, but should be done with care and understanding.  Check out our blog article about pond salt treatments to help you apply and manage salt additives in your ponds.  We recommend 1 cup of pond salt per 100 gallons of pond water to reach 0.1%; ideal for pond fish and aquatic plants.  Pond salt should be non-iodized, with zero additives and anti-caking agents.  Sea salt is typically best due to containing trace minerals that benefit wildlife.
