Atlantic-Oase Replacement FilterFalls Filters refresh the biomechanical filtration capabilities of your FilterFalls.  Over time, filter mat material degrades and can become less effective and harder to maintain.  Replacing FilterFalls Filters will immediately restore mechanical filtration capabilities of the FilterFalls. Full biological filtration capabilities are restored when the new filters surface area has had time to be colonized by beneficial bacteria.
