The Green Matala Filter Media is typically used as a larger particle size solids filter or with other layers of filter media while allowing good water flow.  All four varieties of Matala filter mats can be used together, in larger systems, to help remove solids. The open structure design of the Matala filter media allows for a good flow without having channeling.
